Area Agency On Aging For Southwest Florida Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Headquarters In Fort Myers

Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) recently celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in Fort Myers located at 2830 Winkler Avenue. Interim CEO, Norma Adorno, the AAASWFL team and board chair, Wendy Hayes, welcomed the community to its centrally located new space. More than 40 visitors were in attendance at the open house and enjoyed light refreshments. Safety protocols were followed including temperature checks, hand sanitizing, the wearing of masks, which were also provided, and maintaining social distancing.

Special guest Councilman Kevin Anderson, City of Fort Myers, addressed visitors with a brief speech to inaugurate the opening.

Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida is a nonprofit organization that has served Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee, and Sarasota Counties for more than 40 years. The organization is committed to connecting older adults (ages 60 and over) and people with disabilities to resources and assistance for living safely with independence and dignity.
