Public welcome to attend fall virtual open house on Saturday, August 29
It’s back to school at the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center! A variety of performing arts classes come to life both virtually and in person at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts this fall with a robust schedule for all ages.
Guests will find out more during a free virtual fall open house via Zoom from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 29. Attendees can learn about the virtual classes, meet teaching artists, participate in or observe sample classes, ask questions and register to win a free fall class.
Participants in the Broward Center’s singing, acting, improv and dance classes will have a fun, exciting and engaging experience while learning new skills through the performing arts. here and the complete class listing is available at BrowardCenter.org/Classes. Classes begin in September and most continue for 10 weeks. Classes are limited in size and tailored to the appropriate age and skill level from beginner to more advanced students. Some of the adult classes may be held in person at the Broward Center in accordance with Broward County reopening plan approval as well as CDC and local health & safety guidelines. Online class registration is fast and easy and can be completed on the Broward Center’s website.
To RSVP for the virtual open house, attendees must email registrar@BrowardCenter.org and include their name, or child’s name, and the class they would like to attend. Once registered, the Zoom link will be emailed with instructions on how to sign in. By registering to attend the open house, participants will be automatically entered to win a free class registration for the fall 2020 semester. The winner will be notified on August 31, 2020.
The Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center is on the Broward Center for the Performing Arts campus located in the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District at 201 SW Fifth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.

Broward Center’s Road to Recovery Fund
Faced with the loss of 90% of its revenues when performances were cancelled due to the pandemic, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation launched the Road to Recovery Fund. Donations to this fund will help the Broward Center continue to provide programming online while it prepares for the day when it can reopen the theaters and emerge again as a gathering place for all.
