South Florida entrepreneur Eric Rozenberg and SecuTix ticketing software and services company are poised for rapid growth globally and in the region by deploying new Blockchain technology into the ticket transaction process.

Rozenberg, a native of Belgium, launched the company here in 2018. After two decades of leadership in the European ticketing software industry, Boca Raton-based SecuTix currently has six employees and plans to employ 10 to 15 technology and sales staff by the end of next year.

The growth will be fueled in part by the new company’s focus on serving the many large venues and events in South Florida and across the state.

“This area is so dynamic with large-scale events, attractions, museums, conventions, concerts, festivals, pro and college sports and so much more,” said Rozenberg. “It’s a natural base to launch and focus our technology.”

South Florida’s rapidly-growing entrepreneurial ecosystem also attracted Rozenberg to the area. As one of many tech-related members of Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida (EO SOFLO), he saw how area businesses and organizations are especially forward-thinking and innovative in their operations.

“It’s exciting to be in a group and a region where innovation is such a strong trait. My fellow EO members provide a great cross-section view of the South Florida economy,” he said. “No matter what sector, we’re all trying to be creative problem solvers. ”

EO SOFLO is one of the world’s biggest EO chapters with 190 members who run companies with more than $2 billion in annual revenues and 10,000 employees in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

“Eric has long been a rockstar entrepreneur in the ticketing, software and event industry around the world,” said Jerry Katz, president of EO SOFLO at Premier Protection Insurance in Fort Lauderdale. “South Florida is the perfect place for his SecuTix to introduce another brand new and better solution to the ticket business.”

Rozenberg, who is fluent in three languages and conversational in three others, points out that SecuTix is a pioneer in the Ticketing Industry: it was the first to launch the sector’s first print-at-home tickets, the first to integrate a CRM (customer relationship management) software and systems and more.

The latest Blockchain technology dramatically improves the ticketing transaction and experience for both venues/event and their end-users. It adds more sophisticated security; fights fraud and “bots” that bedevil both businesses and consumers; and better controls the resale process. The tech also provides venues/organizations a detailed and accurate database of who is attending their events for improved security, customer experience and follow-up marketing.

SecuTix deployed the technology recently at the Pokemon festival in Montreal, at one point processing 26,000 requests at the same, as well at European Super Cup soccer matches this summer and fall.

Rozenberg said the software is ready for much bigger gatherings and is excited about serving some iconic Florida venus and events.

“From the world of Central Florida theme parks to a certain big game coming again to Miami in February 2020, our Blockchain ticket technology can make the ticketing process even more magical and super for both venues and fans alike.”
