South Florida alumni from prestigious Ivy League schools gathered at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale for the South Florida HealthCare Innovation Forum, an All Ivy+ event hosted in partnership with the Dartmouth Club of South Florida.
All Ivy+ coordinates activities for the local alumni organizations of the eight Ivy universities, plus the Seven Sisters, MIT, Stanford, and the University of Chicago. The organization serves Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties.
Cuong Viet Do served as the event’s guest speaker. A world leader in biotechnology and entrepreneurship, Do serves as Executive Vice President of Global Strategy for Samsung and is a board member of True Image Interactive, an organization that builds intelligent voice response (IVR) and intelligent virtual assistants (IVA) for businesses.
The moderated discussion covered emerging issues in biotechnology entrepreneurship, drug and medical device development, and intellectual property in these domains. Holy Cross Executive Director of Clinical Research Paul Papagni, JD, and surgical oncologist Omar Rashid, MD, JD, served as moderators. Dr. Rashid is a Dartmouth alumnus.
