John Taddeo, South Florida attorney and author of “Zoom Suit”, winner of Comic Book of the Year, will be a Speaker and Panelist at Supercon CLE (Continuing Legal Education) presented by NSU school of Law at the Florida Supercon this Friday.

The Florida Supercon is being held at the Broward County Convention Center from July 12 through July 15. Taddeo will speak at the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Board College of Law CLE at 12:00-2:45 PM on July 13, room 301.Following the panel, John will have a signing for his comic, Zoom Suit.

Taddeo is part of a five-person panel of highly regarded professionals ranging from The Dean of the school of Law at NSU, Jon M. Garon, to fellow attorney and video game designer, Michael Uzdavines. John will touch on topics such as intellectual property issues for comics, publishing, games and film, case law updates and merchandising as well as taking questions and discussing fan fiction and fan guidelines. Taddeo will also explain user licenses, game currencies, new legal issues in games and publicity rights in creative and commercial properties.

The Attorney, author and comic creator is excited to be able to give away signed copies of his hit comic, “Zoom Suit”. “I remember reading dozens of comics a day and I couldn’t afford to buy enough to satiate my appetite for more; a local shop owner hired me to sweep shop 30 minutes a day and for the rest of the afternoon I could read until my heard was content. I can’t believe I’ve created something so well received and have the opportunity to put it into the hands of new readers and fans.” Taddeo said.

Zoom Suit is an award-winning comic that follows a 12-year-old boy and the alien suit he finds on Halloween. The book is a well-known parody of other comics throughout the genre. The film adaptation also won “Best Animation” at the Palm Beach Film Festival and over 100 awards at film festivals across the country. “This is a comic book fan’s comic book… Zoom Suit is a great independent book with a lot of heart, a good-sized dollop of fun and plenty of zoom for your buck,” said Jason Berek-Lewis, an editor at Broken Frontier.
