More than 100 guests, including local bloggers and designers, attended the launch of Sangre de mi Sangre’s first U.S. store on Thursday, June 14th in Miami’s Upper Buena Vista district.

Sangre de mi Sangre and Friends, a partnership between Miami entrepreneurs Polina Panopoulos and Daniella Rodriguez, and Mexican jewelry designer, Mariana Villarreal, also hosted a fashion show and trunk show to celebrate the opening with top Mexican and Brazilian couture fashion designers.

Guests sipped on mimosas and enjoyed front-row seating where designers Kris Goyri presented Resort 2018/2019;Alejandro Carlin Fall/Winter 2018; Alexia Ulibarri Fall/Winter 2018; and Bossa Concept Resort 2018. Featured Brazilian designers included Cris Barros, Reinaldo Laurenco, and Paula Raia. Panopoulos plans on coordinating other fashion shows with Latin American designers as part of the Sangre de mi Sangre and Friends partnership. The store is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Villarreal founded the Mexican jewelry brand Sangre de mi Sangre, translated ‘Blood of my Blood,’ in 2005. Each piece she designs is handmade and one-of-a-kind, and represents the bond forged between the designer and the materials used such as sterling silver, gold, and semi-precious and precious stones.

Villarreal and Rodriguez, also a jewelry designer, partnered to open a new market for the Mexican brand in the U.S. Rodriguez studied jewelry design in Los Angeles under instructor Peter Solomon and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion merchandising from Miami International University of Art & Design. Her expertise on fashion and jewelry was a perfect match for Sangre de mi Sangre´s expansion.

Panopoulos is an internationally recognized marketing communicationsprofessional with over 14 years of experience, leading corporate marketing and PR communications for five-star multimillion-dollar hotels and resorts. She was previously a marketing and PR executive for Melia Hotels International and Eden Roc Miami Beach. She has worked with friend and designer, Kris Goyri, on trunk shows for the last four years.
