Legal Eagle South Florida, one of the area’s top Facebook communities devoted to news impacting lawyers and their firms, recently celebrated its second anniversary. Over the past two years the group has grown to more than 1,400 members including some ofthe state’s top legal professionals, marketers and those interested in keeping up with the latest industry updates.

The growing groupwas started by Julie Talenfeld, the president of BoardroomPR. Talenfeld has beenreporting thenews her entire career and saw a need for a Facebook community dedicated to South Florida’s legal community. Members are encouraged to share articles, awards, firm news—anything relevant to South Florida’s rich legal industry.

This week there is a profile of Florida Bar President Michael Higer, which talks about his accomplishments over the past year. Talenfeld will be attending the Bar convention in Orlando to report on news being made at the annual gathering of lawyers.

“Everything is fast moving and hyper-local today,” said Talenfeld. “Attorneys appreciate being able to review important news being made by their peers as well as important rulings, verdicts and settlements.”
