Tropical Financial Credit Union Named Among the Top Workplaces by the Sun Sentinel

5/14/18

Tropical Financial Credit Union has been named one of the Top Workplaces in South Florida by the Sun Sentinel. Tropical Financial came in 19th in the midsize company category. The Sun Sentinel surveyed more than 18-thousand employees to develop the list.

“With so many great companies in South Florida, we are honored to be named one of the top places to work in the region,” said Rich Helber, president and CEO. “It’s especially meaningful that the ranking is based on the opinions and feelings of our own employees. We try to make employee satisfaction a top priority and I think this recognition validates that what we are doing is working.”

Each year, the Sun Sentinel sends out a confidential employee survey that looks at a number of factors, including pay and benefits, management, company effectiveness and more. Employers are not allowed to look at the surveys, so employees know they can answer honestly.

The company offers a highly-competitive benefits package along with a number of employee perks such as wellness programs and community involvement activities. The Tropical Service Championship program was created so employees could nominate their own peers for recognition.

Miramar-based Tropical Financial has 11 branch and ATM locations throughout the tri-county area and more than 60,000 members. ###
