Fun Art Classes for Kids Ages 6 – 12

What/Who: The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) continues its hands-on interactive art classes “Creative Arts 4 Kids,” on the first Saturday of every month. These classes are open to children ages 6 through 12. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join the class and participate with the students.

“Creative Arts 4 Kids” runs simultaneously with the school year from October through May. Each month, classes have a different theme focusing on the work of a contemporary artist and will introduce students to art processes through drawing, painting, and sculpture.

The May class, “Pale Pastel Pots,” will feature the work of Italian painter Giorgio Morandi. Participants will create still life paintings of pottery arrangements in a pastel color palette.

When: Saturday, May 5, 2018, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

  • $18 per class, $60 for a four-class series for the general public.
