
What/Who:
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), North Miami is offering a five-day, spring break art camp for children ages 6 through 12. Each day children will be introduced to and experiment with different art and design techniques in a creative environment. The classes are taught by experienced Miami-based artist/educators who will provide age appropriate instruction and activities that will conclude with an exhibition and ArtParty.
When: The classes will run March 26 – March 30, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Monday, March 26: Ceramics
- Tuesday, March 27: Drawing and Painting
- Wednesday, March 28: Fabric Collage and Embroidery
- Thursday, March 29: Working with Wood
- Friday, March 30: Set Building for Stop Motion Animation & ArtParty from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Pre-care and after-care will be provided for an additional fee from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
How/Cost:
Cost per child for Monday - Friday:
- $90 for MOCA Members, North Miami residents and city of North Miami employees
- $130 for non-members
- $50 per week for pre/after care from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Payment can be made in cash or via credit card. Advance purchase is strongly recommended as space is limited.
