The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship (JMI) recently held an appreciation luncheon to honor its distinguished partners and program speakers at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.
Program speakers were honored for instructing participants of the Small Business Executive Program (SBEP) and the Nonprofit Executive Program (NPEP),which JMI offers to business and nonprofit leaders in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. These four-month programs, held each Spring and Fall, are designed for CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, presidents and executive directors of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Each speakers’ experience and understanding of small business and nonprofit leadership allowed them to present meaningful and impactful content to participants. As a result, JMI program graduates have emerged with the skills and training needed to capitalize on business opportunities, implement best practice management, and turn challenges into strategic advantage.
Community partners were recognized for the support and resources they provided that make it possible to continue educating entrepreneurs throughout South Florida. Thanks to Jan Moran, the Jim Moran Foundation, and the Jim Moran Institute’s partners, all executive programs are offered at no cost to the accepted participants.
“We wanted to recognize and thank these wonderful partners for their support, their time and their talents. They are the reason our programs have been successful here in South Florida for the last five years,” said Jennifer Kovach, director of JMI’s South Florida operations, which is part of Florida State University’s College of Business.“As they continue to work with us, we can continue to uphold Mr. Moran’s memory, methodology, philosophy and legacy.”
At the luncheon, speakers and partners were honored with a keepsake token containing an inspirational quote from Jim Moran: “The future belongs to those who prepare for it.” Speakers who have been with the program since its inception were also presented with special five-year recognition certificates.
