What: In the state of Florida alone, over 6,000 people have fallen victim to human trafficking since 2007. Street Art for Mankind holds Human Trafficking Day with Miami Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and Guitars over Guns concert to raise awareness of this worldwide issue.
Who: Street Art for Mankind
Why: Street Art for Mankind brings over 30 street artists from around the world together to create a two-story masterpiece maze made of 65 murals. Through this ten-day art exhibition, SAM aims to shed light on the tragic reality of child labor and child slavery. Funds raised will benefit Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyrthi’s foundation, “raid and rescue” activities and the creation of “child friendly villages”.
