Palm Beach Travel, a leading travel agency based in Manalapan, Fl., is excited to announce the expansion of its services with the opening of Palm Beach Art & Travel. Palm Beach Art & Travel will showcase a variety of post-war and contemporary artists, and will partner both art and travel to plan special trips for art lovers of all types.
Leading the art side of Palm Beach Art & Travel will be Kandace Philosophos. With a wide-ranging professional background in art collection management and curating, Philosophos will direct the functions of Palm Beach Art, including managing a pop-up shop within the gallery, where clients can browse unique local pieces, along with museum-quality art that is fun and affordable.
“In addition to oversee the gallery, I will be working with international collectors and hoteliers, and developers in the area, to commission public art projects,” she said.
Most recently from New York, Philosophos worked for the Heller Group, a private, full service art advisory firm that caters to the international one percent of the population, building art collections that rival museums collections. Prior to the Heller Group, she worked for Art Production Fund, Artists Commissions and the New Museum.
“We are very excited to expand our services and to welcome in Kandace to help us as we provide not only a fine art experience for our clients, but also the opportunity for art lovers to find trendy art pieces right here in our area,” shared Palm Beach Art & Travel founder, Annie Davis.
With Palm Beach Art, Philosophos will lead the creative vision and execution.
“Right now, Palm Beach Art is a blank canvas. We’re working with industry experts and sourcing fine art to offer a variety of painting, prints, sculptures and photography to accommodate a broad range.” Continued Davis. “We want to get away from the typical gallery stigma. Art can be fun and educational for every generation. We are creating an inviting quality to the gallery that will get people of all ages excited to start collecting.”
Philosophos graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Art History and a minor in Business. She studied abroad in Florence, at the Art Institute of Chicago and at NYU. She and her husband, both Palm Beach County natives, reside in Delray Beach.
