CAMACOL, the Latin Chamber of Commerce, prepares to distribute approximately 3,000 vouchers on Wednesday, Nov. 30, to families in need during its 31st annual Holiday Basket Distribution Food Drive. Vouchers will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis to those interested in receiving a basket at the CAMACOL Tower located at 1401 W. Flagler Street.
Recipients will then be able to claim their holiday basket on Wednesday, Dec.14, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
“We are proud to serve our community and help those in need during the upcoming holiday season,” said Holiday Basket Distribution Food Drive Chairman Mario Gutierrez. “This drive is important to the community, and we are happy to be able to continue this tradition of helping our neighbors.”
This year, as in previous years, the basket will be filled a complete “Latin-styled” Holiday dinner including rice, beans, yucca, bread, soda, a pork shoulder, spices, sugar, milk and other essential items.
