Hair Raising Happy Hour - Boca Raton Cosmetic Surgeon Raising Funds for Local Children’s Center

11/10/16

A Local cosmetic Surgeon is getting in to the holiday spirit early this year by holding a fundraiser for a local children’s charity as preparations for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas get underway.

Dr. Glenn Charles from the Charles Medical Group in Boca Raton is hosting the ‘Smokin’ Hair Happy Hour’ on November 16th at the Prime Cigar and Wine Bar, 2240 NW 19th St #916, Boca Raton, to raise much needed funds for the Broward Children’s Center – it truly is going to be a party with a purpose.

A donation of $20 to the Broward Children’s Center offers all who attend a complimentary cocktail, hors d’ouevres and entry into the Door Prize Raffle which includes a Grand Prize of a Robotic Hair Restoration Procedure valued at $12,000 and other fantastic items from jewelry to shoes to gift cards. In total, the raffle prizes alone are valued at $18,000 – all donated by the local community. The first fifty guests to register will also receive a complementary gift bag.

“As a father of three, I have felt an overwhelming need to give back to the youth in South Florida,” said Dr. Charles. “The outstanding work that the Broward Children’s Center does really inspired me and I know that the Holiday period can be tough on so many children and families. I wanted to make sure this fundraiser happened in time for the Broward Children’s Center to be able to make full use of the monies raised in the lead up to the Holiday period.”

Bri Ploude, Broward Children’s Center Development and Marketing Manager, said: “It’s incredible to see our community’s support in raising the funds necessary to nurture, educate, and reorient some of the most medically fragile and technologically dependent infants, children, and young adults back into our community. We are thankful for community partners like the Charles Medical Group for allowing us to raise awareness of Broward Children's Center, and maximize the potential of those we serve.”

100% of the registration fee will be donated directly to the Broward Children’s Center who provides medical, developmental and therapeutic services for children and young adults challenged with disabilities.

For over 40 years Broward Children’s Center has been a haven for infants, children and young adults with special needs and medically complex conditions between the ages of birth and 21 years. The nonprofit’s mission is to provide a continuum of care, including a medical, educational, therapeutic, and recreational care, to increase the quality of life to the BCC service population and their families.
