CDTC Receives $100,000 Gift for the Rosemary Duffy Larson 100 Year Legacy Program

11/3/16

Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) is thrilled to have received a $100,000 gift from Rosemary Duffy Larson’s estate to fund the Rosemary Duffy Larson 100 Year Legacy Program which supports children with special healthcare needs. This philanthropically inspired gift will make an incredible impact on the families served by CDTC.

Rosemary Duffy Larson dedicated her life to charitable pursuits and philanthropy. Rosemary traveled the world extensively treasuring new sites and experiences, but found her joy in Fort Lauderdale where she sought to enrich and improve the lives of children, families and the community through service and generous financial support.

The $100,000 gift from Ms. Rosemary’s estate will be used to sponsor 200 children to be seen in CDTC’s Pediatric Primary Care Clinic. The Pediatric Primary Care Clinic provides patient-centered medical care to children with special needs as part of the medical home model practiced in all of CDTC’s programs. CDTC practitioners provide patients with the best quality of care in a manner which respects the families’ cultural and linguistic diversity.

The clinic serves children with medically complex conditions and their families throughout Broward County. This gift of $100,000 will offset the costs of CDTC’s Pediatric Primary Care Clinic, which provides care to nearly 2,000 children with special needs and their siblings each year. The Rosemary Duffy Larson 100 Year Legacy Program will have a lasting impact to the children and families served by CDTC.

The Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) is a not-for-profit that serves more than 11,000 children with special healthcare needs in Broward County annually. As a facility of Broward Health, CDTC’s mission is to promote the optimal health and well-being of children with special healthcare needs by providing comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment services. CDTC is a nationally recognized “Center of Excellence” offering a unique system of care for infants, children and youth with chronic illnesses, disabilities and developmental delays.
