In celebration of their new philosophy “Crossing Cultures,” PINTA Miami prepares a philanthropic initiative and announces their collaboration with the world renowned organization TECHO. Located in the heart of Wynwood, a Miami art district, PINTA Miami will be celebrating its new initiative from the 30th of November till the 4th of December at MANA Wynwood Convention Center.
TECHO is a Latin American organization with an objective to better the poor economic situations of millions living in informal human settlements in Latin America through the joint action of its partners and young volunteers. With the implementation of a working model focused on communitarian development, TECHO looks for participation in communities in different areas of decision making to help construct a just society built around the termination of poverty, which is present in more than 19 countries.
“Close to 164 million people live in poor conditions in Latin America and 104 million people live in human settlements. TECHO is committed to finding different sectors of our society that are committed to helping combat this situation and overcome poverty in regions most unequal in the world. PINTA Miami and the artistic world is giving support to our launch to end living in poor conditions. The ‘art’ invites us to think and question our role in the world, as well as how to confront realities that cannot be ignored,” pointed Diego Firpo, CEO de TECHO-U.S.
Through this collaboration with PINTA Miami, attendees will have the opportunity to donate to TECHO instead of paying an entrance fee to the fair.
“Thanks to its impressive programming, PINTA Miami 2015 was extremely well attended. This year, attendees of the fair will not have to pay an entrance fee. Instead, they will have the opportunity to unify themselves to the work realized by TECHO and contribute to the overcoming of poor living conditions in Latin America, which to us is a privilege”, explained Diego Costa Peuser, the Founder and Director of PINTA Miami.
PINTA Miami continues this year’s celebration with the support of EFG Wealth Management Bank, a Swiss bank that is turning twenty years old in Miami, and LATAM Airlines, which also returns to PINTA Miami as the sponsor of the VIP lounge and of the SaludArte Foundation, directed by collector Tanya Brillembourg. On this tenth anniversary edition of its celebration, PINTA reinforces its commitment to support and promote Latin American art while connecting it to the rest of the world by “crossing cultures”, thereby taking the fair to new frontiers.
PINTA Miami also prepares for the launch of Young Collectors Desk, an initiative of Guijarro de Pablo Art Consulting. The objective is to provide to the assistants – already avid collectors and enthusiasts of art – the necessary tools to maximize their experiences at the fair. The proposal of Guijarro de Pablo Art Consulting aims to educate and give attendees the opportunity to explore the art world with guided tours that focus on the construction and maintenance of a coherent and sustainable collection. The initiative is directed by Jimena Guijarro, who combines her knowledge of strategic communications with her vast experience and passion for the visual arts. One of her specialties is to introduce and facilitate collecting processes to newcomers to the art world.
PINTA Miami is directed by Diego Costa Peuser, CEO of Arte al Dia Internacional magazine. He is also the founder and director of PARC – Peru Arte Contemporaneo, BAphoto (Buenos Aires Photo) and the Buenos Aires and Punta del Este editions of Gallery Nights. PINTA Miami will take place from November 30th to December 4th, 2016, at Mana Wynwood. For more information, visit: http://www.pintamiami.com/.
