After receiving thousands of submissions from young shoppers across the country for its fourth annual “Design Our Bag Challenge,” The Fresh Market is delighted to announce Florida resident, Colin S., as a winner of the fourth annual artwork competition, benefiting No Kid Hungry® -- the campaign from the nonprofit Share Our Strength dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America by connecting children to healthy food where they live, learn and play. To celebrate his creative feat, The Fresh Market located at 5251 University Parkway will host a bag signing event for customers, friends and fans on Saturday, October 8 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Attendees can purchase a limited-edition reusable bag for only $1.49 and fill it up with fresh, delicious fare from The Fresh Market for Colin, the designer himself, to autograph!

With the support of its customers, The Fresh Market will contribute 50 percent of the retail  price of each limited-edition bag to No Kid Hungry, with a minimum contribution of $150,000 this year funded through Design Our Bag sales, as well as the grocer’s Cupcakes for a Cause campaign. To date, The Fresh Market has raised over $1 million in support of No Kid Hungry’s effort to connect children in need with nutritious food, while teaching their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. Since the launch of the partnership, The Fresh Market has helped No Kid Hungry supply 10 million more healthy meals to kids facing childhood hunger, an issue affecting one in five children.
