The top fundraiser of The Arc’s Wild Pants Party is hoping to walk off the runway with a new, major accessory – The Wild Pants Belt.
The brainchild of Brianna Sidman, fund development and events manager for The Arc, the Wild Pants Belt is reminiscent of something a wrestling champion might wear, and it’s heated up the competition for the 2016 Wild Pants Party male models. Whoever wins the fundraising contest takes home the shiny waist-tamer.
“It’s been a lot of fun watching the models battle it out over who is going to claim the Wild Pants Belt,” said Arc CEO Kimberly McCarten. “The event is already high-energy, and this is just taking it to another level.”
As of late September, the leading fundraisers included Peter Robbins, Bryan Seymour, Nick Schling, Charles Orozco, and Kirk Bell.
This year, event highlights include a pair of custom pants designed specifically for this year’s Wild Pants by event sponsor J.McLaughlin’s co-founder Kevin McLaughlin and the MC talents of Virginia of WRMF’s KVJ Show. The VIP Area, sponsored by Pratt & Whitney, will feature a vintage jet engine, adding to the “high-octane” atmosphere. Two clients of The Arc will also be a part of the show, celebrating the capabilities and contributions of residents with developmental disabilities.
