MELVILLE, N.Y. & ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Verint® Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: VRNT) today announced that a strategic technology partnership with Allied Telesis, in which Verint will globally resell the full range of Allied Telesis’ advanced Layer 3 switches featuring the Alliedware Plus operating system, was signed in July 2016. In addition, the companies have completed a robust integration of the Allied Telesis technology with the Verint EdgeVMS™ solution to help organizations maximize video system uptime and proactive network monitoring.
With the new integration between Verint and Allied Telesis, joint customers can gain even greater control of their IP surveillance networks to help ensure system well-being and critical video data protection, as well as experience high availability through flexible networking solutions and secure, remote monitoring.
The shift from analog to IP surveillance has significantly changed the makeup of modern video systems. Network switches continue to be a key component of any IP video deployment since video recording and viewing can be lost if a switch fails. In today’s mission-critical environments, video loss can lead to operational shutdowns and/or fines associated with compliance breaches with internal and/or agency regulations.
Verint EdgeVMS is an enterprise NVR management and situation awareness solution for video viewing and automated monitoring. Leveraging the companies’ solutions, users can monitor Allied Telesis switches for health, power consumption, temperature and bandwidth from the Verint video management solution interface. With proactive health monitoring, operators and systems integrators can identify and address issues before a unit fails.
“We are delighted to welcome Verint as a reseller of our advanced networking solutions, and believe that our technology integration will provide organizations with a comprehensive video transmission capability, while ensuring long-term system uptime,” says Philip Yim, senior vice president global programs, Allied Telesis. “By partnering with Verint, our customers will gain even greater awareness into their surveillance deployments to help enable more efficient and proactive network management.”
“We continue to look for new ways to deliver the highest level of system reliability to our customers, while helping reduce fraud, control loss and meet compliance requirements,” adds Brian Lettiere, vice president product management, Verint. “The integration with Allied Telesis allows us to provide an even more robust suite of reporting and network management tools to help facilitate advanced IP device connections, while helping ensure video investments are protected and available when needed.”
