Annual 5K Event Raised More Than $227,000 this Year Bringing the Six-Year Total to Nearly $1 Million
Who/What: On Wednesday, August 17 from 5:30 –7:30 p.m., Walk Like MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K will celebrate its record-breaking year of fundraising with a wrap party hosted by Greenspoon Marder Law. The WALK Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K, which took place on April 24, 2016, raised more than $227,000, the largest MADD fundraiser nationally, bringing the total amount raised to date to the record-setting $912,000 by Volunteer Chairperson Heather Geronemus.
The top fundraisers for 2016 will be honored at the celebration including Ultimate Software, the top corporate team; MADD for FISH, the top friends and family team; Myles Gazes, the top youth fundraiser; Penny and Keith Grumer, the top individual fundraisers; Raiders Against Drunk Driving the top Academic fundraiser, and State Attorney’s Office, the top law enforcement fundraiser.
At the wrap party, guests will enjoy bites courtesy of Road Guardian Sponsor Greenspoon Marder Law and “mock-tails” provided by Title Sponsor La Croix Water.
