Murray Silverstein
Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Murray Silverstein will be joining the firm as the managing shareholder for its Tampa office. His addition will significantly expand the firm’s national complex litigation practice and presence in Southwest Florida.
Previously a shareholder in the business litigation practice group of Greenberg Traurig, P.A. in Tampa, Silverstein has over thirty-four years of experience in complex commercial, business and real estate litigation and class actions, as well as appeals in federal and state courts. Additionally, Silverstein focuses his practice on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and regularly advises clients through mediation and arbitration. He is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and has been board certified since the mid-1990s by The Florida Bar in Business Litigation and Civil Trial practice.
“Murray’s experience and outstanding record as a litigator and arbitrator will prove to be an asset to both existing and future clients,” stated Gerald Greenspoon, Co-Managing Director of Greenspoon Marder. “His addition will assist in the growth of our office in Tampa, the largest city on the Florida West Coast and an important market in the state’s legal sector.”
Silverstein formerly served as an eight-year member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors, and continues to serve the bar through active rule committee and related participation. He regularly advocates for the rights of indigents needing access to the courts through pro bono representation, and through his service as a board member on the Florida Bar Foundation.
Greenspoon Marder was recently identified by “The American Lawyer” as being one of the fastest growing law firms in the U.S., and recently opened new offices in Miami, New York Las Vegas, Denver, and San Diego. The firm offers an array of transactional, litigation and regulatory practices and a specific focus on real estate, hospitality, land use and zoning, health care, family law, and broad regulatory and litigation capabilities.
