Specialty artisan shop expanding offerings to include Florida made clothing and footwear in new location opening this Fall
Shoppe 561 is calling all artisans creating Florida-made clothing and shoes to submit their applications and look books for consideration to be sold in Shoppe 561’s new location, which is opening this Fall. Selected designers will have an exclusive space in the shoppe where their merchandise will be sold on consignment. Currently, Shoppe 561 carries original works of 70 plus artisans. In their new location, they will add even more merchandise by working with an even greater number of artisans from across the state.
“We are incredibly excited about moving in to our new space this Fall,” said Janelle Lang of Shoppe 561. “We’ve been trekking across the state this summer exploring all Florida has to offer. We’ve been on the hunt for new artisans to join and clothing and footwear is something we are very excited about. We cannot wait to add these items to our collection of Florida made goods and share the new items with our shoppers and friends.”
Featuring Florida artisan works and classes since 2013, Shoppe 561 is the destination for locals and visitors to find true Florida made goods. The shoppe has become wildly popular with those looking to not only “shop local” but those looking to create items for their home that lessen their carbon footprint. With the new addition of clothing and footwear, Shoppe 561 will be the one-stop shop for all Florida made goods that fit the Florida lifestyle.
For designers looking to apply, Shoppe 561 asks that your merchandise be made in the state of Florida, have a moderate price point, an be the only shoppe in WPB carrying the product to add to its uniqueness. Wholesale is a possibility for the clothing and shoes and will be discussed if the product is selected. ABOUT SHOPPE 561:
Shoppe 561 opened in 2013 as a unique venue for Florida artisans to showcase their work. Since its launch, Shoppe 561 has donated nearly $11,000 to Hope House Florida, a faith-based, state licensed organization, which provides professional care for minor girls victimized by human trafficking. More than 70 artisans showcase their talents both in the studio and on Shoppe 561’s website. Products are accepted on consignment and accompanied by the artist’s name, photo and short biography, so that shoppers feel connected to the artist and part of our extended community. Artisans are invited to teach studio classes to help others learn to express thoughts and ideas through a variety of creative art mediums.
