Jazz at MOCA Free Outdoor Monthly Concert on June 24 to Feature Lanzallamas Monofonica

What/Who: The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami or MOCA, is pleased to present Lanzallamas Monofonica as part of the monthly Jazz at MOCA series. Lanzallamas Monofonica is known for its high-energy Afro-Latino rhythms that incorporate salsa and cumbia. The band has performed at prestigious festivals such as JVC Jazz Fest, Art Basel Miami Beach, Heineken Transatlantic Festival and Carnival on the Mile among others.

Lazallamas Monofonica has been invited to perform along with international music stars such as Salif Keita, SideStepper, Hot Buttered Rum, Cultura Profética, BelO and many more. This Miami-based ensemble has performed at top venues while touring across the United States. The public is invited to come sit under the stars and enjoy the Caribbean fusion music from Lanzallamas Monofonica.

The galleries will be open by donation from 7 – 10 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to view the current exhibition Intersectionality focusing on works by South Florida artists.
