Nason Yeager Gerson Harris & Fumero, P.A., a full-service law firm, is pleased to introduce its Environmental and Water Law Team: John Fumero, Carlyn Kowalsky and Susan Roeder Martin collectively represent over 100 years of environmental and water law experience and expertise representing public and private sector clients throughout the state of Florida on all aspects of federal, state, and local environmental, water, governmental, land use/development and regulatory law matters. Our lawyers practice before every major federal, state and local permitting authority throughout Florida, and are highly experienced in governmental affairs representation and litigation related to those practice areas.

Fumero, with more than 32 years’ experience in environmental and water law, formerly served as the general counsel of the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). Fumero is board certified in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice by The Florida Bar and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Kowalsky has been practicing water and environmental law for over 33 years. She formerly served as deputy general counsel of the SFWMD and has handled a broad range of matters throughout the state of Florida with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Florida’s water management districts.

Martin is the newest addition to Team and has practiced law for over 35 years, formerly as a senior attorney with the SFWMD and earlier as a corporate attorney and Lobbyist with Florida Power and Light. Martin is the chair elect of the Environmental and Land Use Law Section (ELULS) of the Florida Bar, editor of the ELULS Florida Bar Journal Column. She is also AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell.
