Marshall Dennehey Adds Six Lawyers in Fort Lauderdale

Mary E. Corbin, David Cruz, Holly M. Hamilton, Alexia L. Hudson, Alexander J. Mendez and Markenson Pierre join as Associates

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, a leading civil defense litigation law firm with four offices in Florida and more than 500 lawyers, announced that Mary E. Corbin, David Cruz, Holly M. Hamilton, Alexia L. Hudson, Alexander J. Mendez and Markenson Pierre have joined the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office as associates.

Mary E. Corbin is rejoining the firm as a member of the Professional Liability Department. She assists insurers in all aspects of a coverage dispute, including responses to civil remedy notices of insurer violations, pre-suit investigations, coverage opinions, first- and third-party litigation in state and federal courts, and bad faith litigation. Ms. Corbin received her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Florida, Tennessee, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

David Cruz is a member of the firm’s Casualty Department, handling matters involving personal injury protection (PIP) litigation, SIU, bodily injury, and general liability. A graduate of Florida International University, Mr. Cruz received his juris doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. He also attained a Specialization Certificate in Regulatory Compliance from the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Holly M. Hamilton joins the firm's Professional Liability department, focusing on Florida community association and employment disputes. She also represents automobile manufacturers with respect to lemon law claims and warranty litigation. She received her Bachelor of Science from Florida International University and received her juris doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. Ms. Hamilton is admitted to practice law in Florida, New York, and New Jersey.

Alexia L. Hudson practices in the firm’s Casualty department where she handles matters involving Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation and Special Investigations Unit (SIU)/fraud cases on behalf of insurance carriers evaluating cases for various issues. Ms. Hudson graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Florida.

Alexander J. Mendez is a member of Marshall Dennehey’s Casualty Department where he handles matters involving automobile litigation, premises liability, and general casualty matters. Additionally, he is a member of the firm’s Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and Fraud/Special Investigation Practice Group. Mr. Mendez received his Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University and earned his juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida.

Markenson Pierre is a member of the firm’s Casualty Department, handling matters involving automobile liability, premises liability, and product liability. His background also includes working with clients on trucking liability defense and premises liability. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Alabama School of Law, Mr. Pierre is admitted to practice law in Florida and the United States District Court for the Second District of Florida.
