Eric C. Reed
Eric C. Reed, a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, has been elected by the Orange County Bar Association to serve as President-Elect for the 2020-2021 term. Additionally, Reed will serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association.
Reed has been actively involved with the Orange County Bar Association for the past 18 years and has served on the Executive Council since 2011. In addition to his latest leadership roles, he previously chaired the Orange County Bar Association’s Judicial Relations Committee, was a board member of the Orange County Bar Association Foundation, and served as President of the Orange County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. He is also a graduate of Leadership Orlando and served on the Junior Achievement Leadership Council from 2015 to 2018.
“I’m honored to work with the incredible team at the OCBA and all of my colleagues in Orange County,” said Reed. “The OCBA plays an important role in encouraging and advocating for the legal professionals in my community, and I look forward to engaging with my colleagues in this new role.”
With Shutts & Bowen, Reed is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group where he handles commercial litigation, construction litigation, commercial landlord/tenant litigation, commercial and consumer collections and replevins, mortgage and lien foreclosures, and general lender representation.
Outside the office, Reed volunteers his time on the board for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida where he serves as the Second Vice-Chair.
Reed received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his juris doctor from Barry University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
