Verzasca Group, the developer behind Aurora Sunny Isles Beach, announced it sold three new condominium residences in September as the new construction market is experiencing more buyer optimism more than a half year into the global pandemic.

“As the economy continues to open up, more and more people seem motivated to buy a new home and lock in a good deal now,” said John Warsing, Aurora sales director. “We are offering a great opportunity to live in a boutique building near the beach that lends itself to an outdoor lifestyle which people desire today than ever before.”

According to a new market report by International Sale Group (ISG), condominium sales in the tri-county area rose 20% between the second and third quarters of this year. Condominium sales represented 35 % of all residential sales in the region between July and September 2020 pushing up median prices.

The Aurora buyers picked up a 3-bedroom unit at 2,148 square feet and two 2-bedroom units of 1,655-square feet and 1,398 square feet. The project is the first to be developed on the west side of Collins Avenue, or A1A, in Sunny Isles in more than a decade. In late August, construction crews topped off the 17-story building as building which is scheduled to be delivered in third quarter of 2021. The project is 65 percent sold.

“We are very encouraged with this latest activity,” said Tim Lobanov, Verzasca Group managing director. “Sales and inquiries are coming from South Americans and from people living in high density urban areas in the Northeastern U.S. who desire more open spaces and want to escape another brutal winter.”
