Holy Cross Health Adds Orthopedic Surgeon, Andrew Lovy

Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 160 physicians providing services throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties, announces the addition of Andrew Lovy, M.D., M.S., a fellowship trained hand and upper extremity surgeon.

Andrew Lovy, M.D., M.S. specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatments of nerve compression syndromes, repair and reconstruction of tendon injuries and sports injuries and in arthritic and traumatic disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.

Prior to joining Holy Cross, Dr. Lovy was a hand and upper extremity surgeon and Assistant Professor, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, one of the oldest and largest teaching hospitals in the U.S., and Assistant Fellowship Director, Hand Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Beth Israel.

A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Lovy has lectured on disorders of the hand, elbow and shoulder, making presentations during national and internationally meetings, and has been published in more than 40 clinical and research articles.

Dr. Lovy completed his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital. He earned his M.D. and M.S. in Clinical Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.
