Seasoned industry expert will oversee strategic partnerships for the $1.5 billion, 65-acre master planned community, which recently opened its first residential tower

Metropica, one of the largest mixed-use communities under construction in the nation, announced today that luxury development sales expert Mihaela Coprean has been named Director of Business Development for the $1.5 billion, 65-acre master-planned community. Located in Sunrise, Fla., the vibrant, South Florida pedestrian-friendly city center is being developed by Metropica Development, LLC, and its visionary CEO Joseph Kavana.

Boasting more than a decade of single-family home and pre-construction sales experience, as well as extensive oversight of strategic marketing initiatives, Coprean, who hails from Romania, brings a robust skill set to Metropica and an in-depth understanding of the high-end market.

In her new role, she will spearhead sales for the project, oversee its promotion worldwide, and bolster relations between brokers and buyers, the surrounding business community, local officials, and key area stakeholders. Coprean is already in the process of organizing top-producer panels and workshops that will equip the real estate community with valuable information about capitalizing on Metropica’s unique, best-of-all-worlds offerings. She is additionally organizing personalized tours (including virtual showings for international realtors) of Metropica and the four, masterfully designed model residences at ONE Metropica Residences, design by YOO, which opened in June.

She most recently served as an associate with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. During her tenure there, Coprean worked with Metropica on residential pre-sales.
