The Senada Adzem Team of Douglas Elliman —led by Senada Adžem, executive director of luxury sales at Douglas Elliman—recently delivered more than 1,000 washable children’s masks and several infrared thermometers to Florence Fuller Child Development Centers in Boca Raton. The award-winning nonprofit, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children from economically challenged families, is reopening its doors on Monday, June 1.
Florence Fuller serves more than 850 children across its two campuses (one in east Boca Raton, one in west Boca Raton) with a variety of programs, all with the goal of helping children realize their social and academic potential. In addition, FFCDC empowers families through education and employment assistance.
The Senada Team turned to a second nonprofit, one based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for assistance with its contribution to Florence Fuller. Ms. Adžem commissioned the Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and Dystrophy in Gorazde to produce the high-quality, washable face masks for children of different ages. The nonprofit employs family members of patients with cerebral palsy and dystrophy.
“We felt this was a unique way to connect two nonprofits, half a world apart, that both care so much about families,” said Ms. Adžem. “To our friends in Boca Raton, we encourage you to join us in contributing much-needed supplies, assistance and financial support to Florence Fuller and its remarkable team of volunteers, staff and directors, all led by CEO Ellyn Okrent.”
