6/3/20

Amanda G. Gomez

CREW Miami (Commercial Real Estate Women Miami) has awarded the 2020 Roslyn K. Berrin Real Estate Scholarship to Amanda G. Gomez, J.D. Candidate, 2021 at St. Thomas University School of Law.

“I am beyond honored to have been chosen as the recipient of the Roslyn K. Berrin Real Estate Scholarship,” remarked Gomez. “For me, this award is not just a way of paying my law school tuition, but it is a true testament to how far I have come in my chosen career path. CREW Miami is a representation of women who strive every day to become better versions of themselves in their personal and professional lives, so to be chosen as the recipient of this award is inspiring to me and really affirms my passion for my future career. I am thrilled to become a new member of CREW and I can only imagine the growth I will experience from being surrounded and mentored by CREW members. Thank you again for this amazing opportunity.”

Gomez also serves as President for the Real Property, Probate, & Trust Law Society; VP of Communications for Trial Team; and Articles Editor for Journal of Complex Litigation.

Last year, Roslyn Berrin, founder of Berrin Realty Inc. and the first recipient of CREW Miami’s Lifetime Achievement Award, initiated the CREW Miami Scholarship Fund. The Roslyn K. Berrin Real Estate Scholarship is available to females enrolled as a Junior or Senior-level undergraduate or graduate student with a declared major in a real estate-related discipline, at a university or college located in Miami-Dade County, Florida; and maintain a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0. (Plus, complimentary CREW Miami student membership and mentor opportunities.)

“Among the greatest contributions made by CREW Miami, through its Education Committee are the Scholarship Program and the Mentoring Program,” commented Alicia Morales-Fernandez, CREW Miami’s President and a Real Estate Partner at Rennert Vogel, Mandler & Rodriguez, P.A. “Through our Scholarship Program, we award two scholarships each year, one in spring and the other in fall. The application process is competitive, has many applicants and the worthy recipients have great merit. I had the pleasure of meeting this spring’s recipient, Amanda Gomez, a delightful and hard working young woman with many accomplishments. I have no doubt she will make a great addition to the CRE industry some day. Through our Mentorship Program, we offer support and guidance to our members. The nine month mentorship program, led by mentorship coach, Meryl Blau, is a gratifying and rewarding experience. Having been a mentor, I know the benefits of the mentorship program first hand. It can lead to valuable relationships for both mentor and mentee.”
