Boutique litigation firm expands with experienced talent in unique times

Florida litigation boutique law firm Mark Migdal & Hayden (MM&H) is pleased to announce its strategic growth with the addition of attorneys Daniel Maland and Jordan Nadel. In today’s shifting business climate, MM&H remains dedicated to providing counsel through a contemporary approach to its core competency of complex commercial litigation by continuing to recruit seasoned litigators, dedicated to the realignment of the practice of law – rain or shine.

“We are so grateful to be in a position to add talent such as Daniel and Jordan in these unique times. Each is an exceptional addition, skilled in complex commercial litigation with added experience outside of Miami,” said MM&H partner Etan Mark. “Our priorities are simple – hire top of class attorneys who ooze integrity, with an unabashed commitment to our clients and our team. We believe we’ve achieved that with the addition of Daniel and Jordan.”

Maland was previously a complex commercial litigator at Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, and before that at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. He is admitted to both New York and Florida bars, and is a specialist on a variety of complex business and securities litigation on state and federal levels. Specifically, he is well-versed on representing multinational companies and high-net-individuals in bet-the-company litigation involving fraud, RICO, high-level corporate disputes, receivership work and white-collar crime. Maland is also an expert consultant on emerging technologies, with a focus on blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and smart contracts and, in particular, their implementation in maritime industries.

Currently, Maland is a member of the Florida Bar’s Digital Currency Taskforce, serves as the Young Lawyer Liaison to the Committee on Carriage of Goods of the Maritime Law Association, is a member of Miami’s AJC ACCESS Steering Committee and serves as a Charles Bronfman Convener to the Israeli Policy Forum. Maland has been actively engaged in civil rights pro bono matters his entire career, with notable cases involving emergency asylum relief, foreign-born victims of domestic violence obtaining permanent residence status, and the representation of victims of police brutality via Section 1983 claims. He received his juris doctorate from Emory University School of Law, his bachelor’s degrees from the University of Florida and has been recognized as a rising star by Super Lawyers on multiple occasions.

Nadel was previously an attorney with the Broward County Attorney’s 0ffice, focusing on construction litigation and other complex commercial lawsuits, ranging from class actions to insurance coverage disputes. He also spent several years with Ferencik Libanoff Brandt Bustamante & Goldstein, a South Florida law firm specializing in construction law and servicing the construction industry. Nadel has significant experience prosecuting and defending construction-specific claims on behalf of owners and contractors in state and federal court and arbitration proceedings. He started his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

He received his juris doctorate from Fordham University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He is a South Florida native and currently lives in Cooper City with his wife and son.
