Susan Klock and Hilton Napoleon II Named Partners at Rasco Klock

Susan E. Klock, Esq. and Hilton Napoleon II, Esq. have both been named partners at Rasco Klock. Klock most recently served as an associate in the firm’s Miami office; Napoleon most recently served as special counsel in the firm’s Miami office.

Klock devotes her practice to family law matters, as well as resolution of complex and multi-district business disputes over a broad range of substantive areas, including general commercial disputes. She works with families in Florida and from other countries in family law and cross-border disputes. Klock represents clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law matters, including complex contested divorce litigation, amicable/uncontested dissolutions, military divorce, custody & timesharing disputes, equitable distribution, alimony & child support, paternity, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, wills & other ancillary matters, etc.

Klock is admitted to The Florida Bar, District of Columbia Bar, New York State Bar Association, and North Carolina State Bar. She is also a current member of the Dade County Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association South Florida Chapter. In addition, she is a member of the Admission Advisory Board for Palmer Trinity School, Alpha Phi Omega national co-ed service fraternity, Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Miami-Dade and Broward Chapters), and Underwater Bar Association. Plus, she is a member of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Klock earned her J.D. (cum laude) from University of Miami, and her Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University (2004).

Napoleon focuses his practice in the areas of complex civil litigation, civil rights violations, federal and state criminal trials and appeals, post-conviction relief, and governmental administrative proceedings. He has successfully litigated several high-profile civil rights cases and obtained life-changing jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. He is keenly aware of the laws surrounding “sovereign immunity” and “qualified immunity,” which dissuades most legal practitioners from becoming involved in civil rights cases. In addition, he is an expert in Fourth Amendment “false arrest” claims and “excessive force” claims. Napoleon has litigated against some of the largest municipalities in the County, including the City of Miami, the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, the Miami-Dade County School Board, the City of Coral Gables, and the City of North Miami.

Before joining Rasco Klock in 2009, Napoleon served as an assistant state attorney in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, where he litigated over 30 jury trials. He interned in the Southern District of Florida for U.S. District Judge Donald Graham. Napoleon is a member of the University of Miami President’s Circle and assists several local non-profit organizations on a pro-bono basis.

Napoleon is admitted to The Florida Bar. In addition, he is a member of Hope World Wide (South Florida Chapter), Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and John W. Kozyak Mentorship Program. He is a mentor to underprivileged youth throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County.

Napoleon earned his J.D. from University of Miami, and his Bachelor of Science from University of Detroit Mercy (summa cum laude).
