Bentley Miami accelerated an important discussion on novel cancer therapies on Thursday, October 17, when they hosted internationally recognized physician scientist, Dr. Guenther Koehne, for an in-depth discussion entitled, “Chemotherapy or Immunotherapy: That is the Question.”
Dr. Koehne, the Deputy Director of Miami Cancer Institute, Chief of Blood & Marrow Transplantation and Hematologic Oncology, spoke to the rapid development of novel immunotherapeutic approaches and their integration into current treatment plans. He emphasized the development of targeted therapeutics such as checkpoint inhibitors and CAR T Cells as non-chemotherapeutic treatment options.

Held at the striking Bentley Miami showroom,guests were also treated to a lively mix of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and a special preview of the new 2020 Bentley GT and GTC. A curated selection of dazzling Bentley supercars such as the Bentley Bentayga SUV and the Bentley Mulsanne WO Edition by Mulliner made for a spectacular backdrop.
The reception served to turbo-charge the upcoming 2019 Light the Night Campaign, which Dr. Koehne is spearheading as Chairman of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)’s annual walk in downtown Miami. This year’s Light the Night event takes place November 2 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami when more than 5,000 people, including corporate and family teams who have been touched by cancer, will gather together to walk in an emotional and uplifting evening that aims to shine light on one of life’s darkest moments.
