Lowndes is pleased to announce that Brian Smith has joined the firm as Of Counsel, effective immediately. Smith, who has practiced law in Orlando since 2007, will continue to counsel property and business owners statewide through every stage of the often complex and confusing eminent domain and condemnation process. Smith’s clients have included a wide variety of entities and property types, including banks, cellular towers, commercial strip centers, developers, industrial parcels, mining operations, multi-family housing, multinational corporations, restaurants, multi-tenant office buildings and more.

Smith’s litigation experience extends beyond eminent domain and condemnation. He has also represented clients in complex commercial litigation, government contracts, professional liability, constructions defects, and other general business issues. Outside of his legal practice, Smith is involved in the community. He is a mentor for Junior Achievement Academy (Oak Ridge High School), a volunteer instructor for JA in a Day, and a board member for After-School All-Stars. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Florida and his law degree is from Stetson University College of Law.
