DLA Piper announced today that Jasmine Zacharias has joined the firm's Finance practice as a partner in the Miami office.

Zacharias focuses her practice on representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, individuals and public and private companies as borrowers in syndicated and bilateral financings, including acquisition financings, leveraged loans, asset-based credit facilities, bridge financings, subscription-based facilities and debtor-in-possession facilities. She also has considerable experience representing banks, funds and other private institutions as lenders in a broad range of financings.

"Jasmine's experience handling a wide range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions will enhance our practice and capabilities immeasurably," said John Cusack, global co-chair and US chair of DLA Piper's Finance practice. "As we seek to strategically grow our Finance team based on the geographical and sector needs of our clients, her skillset will be a valuable addition."

Zacharias is the latest partner to join the Finance practice, which has also recently welcomed partners John Reiss in New York, Evelyn Kim in San Francisco and Mary Dunbar in Washington, DC.

"The addition of Jasmine to the Miami office will benefit clients based and doing business in the Southeast, where the deep knowledge and experience in the private equity arena that she brings is in high demand," said Joshua Kaye, managing partner of the firm's Miami office. "We are pleased to welcome her to the firm."

Zacharias, who joins from Greenberg Traurig, received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her M.S. and B.A. from Hofstra University.
