Recently recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as a Power Leader in Marketing, Harris is a respected executive with more than 25 years of experience. Most recently she served as senior vice president of Marketing and Public Relations for BankUnited, responsible for the bank’s community, public relations, advertising and branding initiatives.

She was integral to the rebranding of the bank in its transformation into one of the largest regional commercial real estate lenders, now on Forbes magazine's list of "Best Banks in America."

Harris also served as public relations manager of Neiman Marcus - Fort Lauderdale and vice president and marketing director for Union Bank in Plantation. She was also an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University for nearly eight years in business communication.

Honored by March of Dimes, Leadership Broward and Big Brothers Big Sisters for her leadership in the community, Mary has also served Board positions with the United Way of Broward, Lighthouse of Broward, First Tee of Broward, and the Humane Society among others.

Mary holds a master’s degree from Florida International University, a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and is certified by the Protocol School of Washington.
