Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman announces that the firm has named three new partners in 2018: Justin Luger, Matthew Ramenda and Milton Collins.

Justin Luger works in the firm’s litigation division and represents private and governmental entities in the South Florida area in both the state and federal court. He handles complex commercial, business, and municipal/government litigation and represents local governments in litigation issues including zoning and land use regulations, the creation and dissolution of special districts, and constitutional, civil rights and negligence matters. Luger has also represented a wide range of condominium and homeowner associations in business tort and contractual matters. He earned his JD from the University of Miami School of Law and joined the firm in 2013.
Matthew Ramenda has had 15 successful years representing both private and municipal clients in state and federal courts. In the private sector, he has represented clients in the areas of complex commercial litigation, business law torts and premises liability defense. On the public side, he has defended numerous municipalities throughout South Florida in in cases involving claims of false arrest, constitutional challenges, public records request violations, and code enforcement lien foreclosure actions. Ramenda earned his JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and joined the firm in 2015.
Milton Collins focuses on labor and employment, employee benefits, and local government law. He has extensive experience handling grievance-arbitration matters involving contract interpretation and employee discipline. He provides labor and employment benefits advice on a variety of topics including the FMLA, FLSA, PERA, HIPPA and has drafted numerous operational policies related to these issues. He has served as chief negotiator in the collective bargaining sessions, resulting in the successful negotiation of several union contracts. Collins earned his JD from Washington & Lee University School of Law and joined the firm in 2015.
