W. Grey Marker II, founder and CEO of Marker Construction Group in Fort Lauderdale, is pleased to announce several new hires at the company as it continues to experience significant growth: Superintendent Craig Breines and Assistant Project Managers Chad Holness, Lynette Bennett, and Thelma Fay.

A construction management and general contracting firm, Marker Construction Group specializes in commercial, multi-family, condominiums, hospitality, health care, and very high-end residential construction throughout the state of Florida. It was founded in 2001.
With 40 years of experience in the construction business, Breines joins Marker Construction Group as a superintendent. Having acquired his state builder’s license in 1989, he founded his first construction company in 1987, and ran that company until 1998. He has worked on substantial buildings for some of Florida’s biggest developers. His certifications include State Certified Building Contractor CBC 047679, State Certified Electrical Contractor ES 12000798, Merchant Marine 100 TON License, and Certified Post Tension Level 1&2.
Fort Lauderdale resident Holness joins Marker Construction Group as an assistant project manager. Prior to joining Marker, he worked with Suffolk Construction as project engineer for two years, and as an intern for one year. Before that time, he worked with his father's company as a junior contractor. Holness holds an associate degree and is now working towards a bachelor's degree in construction management.
Assistant Project Manager Bennett is a lifelong resident of Fort Lauderdale; both her and her husband's families are in the construction business. Before joining Marker Construction, she worked in Industrial and commercial construction. She earned a Bachelor of Science in interior design from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She holds an OSHA 30 certification, in addition to certifications in CPR, ocean rescue, yoga and PADI.
Fay, a resident of Victoria Park in Fort Lauderdale, also joins Marker Construction as an assistant project manager. Since coming to the U.S. from Ireland in 2000, Fay has served as a legal assistant for a commercial construction lien law/estate planning/family law practice; a finance coordinator/contract administrator/primary contact with banking institutions, real estate agents, and title companies for a commercial real estate developer; and a senior commercial construction loan administrator. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in economics and social policy from University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland.
