Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) has announced that Dr. Vanessa Rojas has joined the medical staff.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Rojas has expertise in both Family Medicine and HIV specialty care. She will serve as a Primary Care Physician in the Center’s Adult Clinic with a focus on patients from the Comprehensive Family AIDS Program who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Previously, Dr Rojas was a physician at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where, inspired by her experiences with HIV-infected patients, she was awarded the HIVMA Clinical Fellowship in June 2017, providing HIV and primary care to under-served patients.
Dr. Rojas received her undergraduate degree from University of Scranton and her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, N.J. She completed her residency in family medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Jamaica, New York.
“We are so fortunate to have Dr Rojas join our team,” said Ana E. Calderon Randazzo, Ph.D., executive director of CDTC. “Her achievements, leadership and expertise are a tremendous asset to the children and fragile families we serve in our community.”
