Jeremy M. Mishali and Yanitza Schoonover
Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse business law firm, announced that Jeremy M. Mishali and Yanitza Schoonover have joined the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office as Attorneys.
Mishali assists in handling matters related to First Party Insurance Defense Litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mishali worked as an Associate Attorney in a civil litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale where he primarily handled First Party Property Insurance Defense matters. He also has experience representing clients in Negligent Security and Workers’ Compensation matters. Additionally, Mishali worked at the Broward Public Defender’s Office 17th Judicial Circuit, where he litigated both misdemeanor and felony jury trials in County and Circuit Court.
Mishali earned his Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science and Psychology from Florida State University. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from University of Southern California Gould School of Law. During law school, Mishali co-founded an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) student organization and served as a Supervisor for General Relief Advocacy Project (now Public Counsel CARES), a volunteer program that provides resources and information on benefits including General Relief, CalFresh, CalWORKs and Medi-Cal. Mishali is admitted to practice law and Florida and the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
Schoonover focuses her practice on Family and Marital Law, Estate Planning, Probate and Guardianship, as well as Commercial Litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Schoonover worked as an Associate Attorney at a probate and estate planning law firm in Miami, where she gained valuable experience handling all aspects of probate and estate planning including preparing wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, limited powers of attorney, living wills, designation of health care surrogate, and deeds. In addition, she has experience in probate litigation and handling guardianship matters.
Schoonover earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida International University and went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During law school, she served as an Executive Team Member of the Moot Court student organization, as well as the Secretary of the Hispanic Latino Law Society. Schoonover is admitted to practice law in Florida. She is fluent in Spanish.
