Elizabeth B. Ferguson, a Shareholder in the Jacksonville office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, will present on insurance and construction litigation in Florida as part of Contractor’s University, a Florida Bar collaborative workshop on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport Conference Center in St. Augustine. Sponsored by the Florida First Coast Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the workshop connects construction attorneys with construction professionals and provides procedures and solutions for reducing legal exposure in the industry.

A member of the firm's Professional Liability Department, Ms. Ferguson’s practice focuses on the defense of Owners, Contractors, Material Suppliers, Developers, and Design Professionals (Architects, Engineers, and Surveyors) against claims of liability, breach of contract, construction defect, design defect, delay, liens/bonds, insurance coverage issues, and licensure issues. She also provides transactional support for her construction clients, including contract drafting and review. She has been Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar since 2009 and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She serves on the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, appointed by Gov. Rick Scott.

Ms. Ferguson is a Construction Panel Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, has served as a professor of Construction Law, and is a frequent speaker on legal and construction industry issues. She earned her juris doctor from Indiana University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
