The 11^th Annual Barry University Distinguished Alumni Awards will be held on February 8, 2018, at the Coral Gables Country Club and recognizes graduates who have made a significant impact on their community through their service and career achievements.Out of more than 60,000 Barry alumni worldwide, fewer than 100 individuals have achieved the honor of being named their “Distinguished Alumni.”

Gonzalez is an associate in the firm's Products Liability & Toxic Torts Group. His practice focuses primarily in civil and commercial litigation in the areas of Product Liability, Real Estate/Construction, and Medical Malpractice. His experience includes participating in all aspects of litigation on both insurer-driven and insurer-directed legal matters defending companies in a wide variety of tort claims.

He received his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Barry University and also graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
