Homebuilder plans 152 brand-new single-family residences in Tamarac

Pulte Homes has purchased 152 single-family residential lots totaling more than 44 acres within Tamarac’s Woodmont Country Club for $10.2 million. The transaction closed on June 6.

The acquisition paves the way for Pulte to move forward with plans for 152 single-family homes ranging from 2,400 to 3,320 square feet. The homes at The Enclaves at Woodmont are expected to be priced from the low $400,000s.

Woodmont is located at 7801 NW 80th Ave. The club at that site previously had 36 golf holes, but 18 were closed by the owner. Pulte will build on nine of those holes.

“We are bringing a new construction product that is considered particularly affordable for Broward County, which is still experiencing tremendous demand,” said Brent Baker, president of Pulte’s Southeast Florida division. “There are many local families seeking to relocate to Broward for the schools, housing opportunities and overall quality of life. Interest is also strong beyond the local market.”

Pulte is set to begin land development work this month. Construction of the project sales center and model homes is scheduled to begin in late fall. Homes should be move-in ready by the spring or summer of 2018.
