Fowler White Burnett attorneys Howard E. Fox and Christine M. Walker presented to students at the Environmental Law Society at Florida International University (FIU) College of Law about the real world practice of environmental law (Fox) and maritime law (Walker).

TheEnvironmental Law Society promotes excellence in legal education through the environmental curriculum at the Florida International University. Their purpose is to educate, generate awareness, and promote conservation on campus and in the community by coordinating community projects, participating in social activities, and by hosting attorneys and other advocates as guest speakers, as well as addressing current environmental issues.

Howard E. Fox’s global environmental practice encompasses environmental and land use transactions, regulation and litigation as well as toxic torts and product liability. In each of these areas, Howard's experience working in the Florida and United States government enables him to implement effective, cost-efficient strategies to achieve his clients' goals. Howard also serves as a corporate advisor in bringing Israeli tech and infrastructure companies into the U.S. market, taking companies public and acquiring and selling companies.

Christine M. Walker is an associate in the firm's Maritime Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on all aspects of Admiralty Law. Walker received her Masters of Law degree in Admiralty from Tulane University Law School, her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, and a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from the University of Miami. In addition, Christine also holds a Certificate in Financial Regulatory Law & Policy from Washington College of Law Summer Institute and a Certificate in Admiralty & International Law of the Seas from Tulane University Law School, Study Abroad Program.
