Brian Kopelowitz, co-founder of the law firm Kopelowitz Ostrow Ferguson Weiselberg Gilbert (KO), has been appointed as Vice Chair of Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA). Kopelowitz will serve in this position for a one-year term.
Business for the Arts of Broward is a nonprofit organization that engages businesses and business leaders to advocate and educate about the importance of the county’s art and cultural community as well as to recognize the connection between cultural vitality, creative success and economic development.
Kopelowitz has a wealth of experience in both civil trial law and corporate transactions. He serves as his firm’s chair of the real estate litigation department, wherein he oversees hundreds of active matters, including title claims, contested foreclosures, lender liability claims and title insurance disputes. Kopelowitz is very active within his community and currently serves on the board of Business for the Arts of Broward for many years. He also serves on the NSU Ambassadors Board and the Executive Board of Jewish Family Services of Broward County. He is on the Advisory Board of Starmark International, Inc. and is also a Managing Member of One West Las Olas, LLC, a real estate development company based in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
He graduated from The American University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications and received his juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University Law School, where he graduated with honors.
