PulteGroup Inc. has acquired 19 acres in Palm Springs, a suburban enclave of Palm Beach County. The national homebuilder paid just over $5 million to the seller, Tonset Co., Inc.
PulteGroup has plans to build a townhome community, called Preston Square, under its Pulte Homes brand. It will have 164 residences and attached garages for either one or two vehicles. All of the units are three-bedrooms, two-and-a-half-baths. Prices will start in the mid $200s.
Pulte is introducing this new townhome design for the first time in South Florida.
“This design allows us to maximize efficiency while providing a comfortable living experience at a price point that is in reach for young professionals and families,” said Brent Baker, Pulte Group’s southeast Florida division president.
At just over 1,600 square feet, the floorplans offer spacious kitchens and large social gathering areas. Community amenities include fitness trails and a children’s playground. Pulte said sales will start in the summer.
The Preston Square property is located at 2406 S. Congress Ave. between Forest Hill Boulevard and 10th Avenue. Less than 1 mile from I-95, the community will provide easy access to downtown West Palm Beach, Palm Beach International Airport, beaches, parks and other recreational areas.
“This purchase fits with our strategy of building within established, core urban areas that are close to transportation corridors, shopping centers, and close to where people work,” Baker said.
