New Jersey's Special Properties Honored to Co-Sponsor Inaugural Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Art Fair

1/23/17

In the midst of Palm Beach’s peak winter season, when the town’s winter estates are in full use and non-residents from around the world flock to the area’s luxury rentals and hotels and enjoy the famed international cultural and sporting events, this newest art fair kicked off with splendid results. The first-ever Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary fair attracted an estimated 17,500 attendees, who admired works from more than fifty international galleries, as well as fine homes from the event’s marquee sponsor, Christie’s International Real Estate.

Continuing its five-year partnership with the Art Miami Group - which also runs Art Miami, Art Wynwood, Art Southampton, and now Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary - Christie’s International Real Estate supported this newest venture. The world’s leading luxury real estate network, with six top Affiliates, hosted a stylish lounge, as well as sponsoring the VIP preview, benefitting The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society. Located at the fair’s main entrance, the lounge featured a dynamic video montage and elegant printed materials, with real estate experts on hand to advise on property acquisitions for the four full days of the fair.

“The art - from the likes of Josef Albers, John Chamberlain, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring – raised the bar for this exciting new event,” said Rick Moeser, Christie’s International Real Estate Executive Director of the Southeastern, Midwestern and Mountain U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America. “The emerging street and studio artists raised the bar even higher. The fair, even in its infancy, was truly global, with works by nearly 1,000 artists hailing from Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Venezuela. The level of excitement and client engagement was extraordinary with our exceptional real estate offerings on center stage.”

Co-sponsoring Affiliates from Christie’s International Real Estate include Hilton & Hyland of Beverly Hills, California; Brown Harris Stevens in Palm Beach, the Hamptons and New York; EWM Realty International in Miami-Dade and Broward counties; Premier Estate Properties in Boca Raton; Special Properties of Saddle River, New Jersey, and Regal Realty of Orlando.

“Special Properties was honored to be a participant and sponsor of this unique event and to represent some of the most distinguished properties in New Jersey in this group of esteemed Christie’s affiliates. This event was a wonderful opportunity to promote our brand and obtain exposure to fine art and luxury real estate buyers from around the world,” said Ilija Pavlovic, President and CEO of Special Properties Real Estate Services LLC.
