Arden Karson Joins CBRE As Senior Managing Director

Seasoned industry veteran will lead South Florida operations

CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that Arden Karson, a seasoned industry veteran with more than 25 years of real estate experience, will join the company as senior managing director, South Florida. Ms. Karson will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of CBRE’s South Florida business operations, encompassing three offices—Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton—and approximately 200 employees.

In her new role, Ms. Karson will oversee the delivery of integrated commercial real estate services to clients throughout the South Florida market. Ms. Karson brings a multi-faceted background in sales and marketing, development, acquisitions, asset management, leasing and finance. She is highly regarded as a prominent real estate professional in South Florida.

Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Karson served as senior vice president for The Related Group, where she was responsible for sales and development of approximately $1 billion of mixed-use real estate assets.  She also oversaw the acquisitions of distressed debt and strategic opportunities. Ms. Karson’s comprehensive credentials include positions with a number of leading real estate companies including Lennar/LNR, Advenir, Tate Capital, CREC and Barrow Street Capital. She also spent part of her career as a real estate lender with Bank of America and as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ms. Karson is a graduate of Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a concentration in Spanish and Latin American studies and received her MBA from Harvard Business School. She is an executive member of the Board of Directors for Friends of The Underline, a non-profit organization advocating to transform the underutilized land below Miami’s Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park, urban trail and canvas for artistic expression. Ms. Karson will be based in Miami and report to Mr. Ferguson.
